Today we just worked on property Taxation and accelerated math.

math class!

today we started out with mental math like usual and then we had pretty much a work class! we also went over marks!!!! and it seems as though the class needs to get their buts movin and finish some objectives......soon! we also have a retest on thursday so you better study. 17 days till christmas!

Today we had a work period. Our Sympodium decided to break so we couldn't really do anything but catch up on accelerated math anyway.

Work Period

Today we had a work period.Another assigment got handed out. We have to get 100% tohand it in. Somepeople are working on accelerated math. There is also a few more budgeting assiments that have to be handed in.

Math Reflection

Today in class we handed in an assignment we recieved yesterday. Then everyone worked on anything they had that was math related in class. Most people worked on accelerated math, but it was your own choice on what you wanted to do.

today in math class we didnt do mental math!! Some of the students finished their budgets while others moved on to working with simple interest and compound interest assignments!

Today was the last day we get to work on the budgeting, and finish all assigments and get them into Max for marks. When we finish we can work on accelerated math.

Math Reflection

Today in class we worked on doing budgeting on a spreadsheet. We learned how to make the formulas to get the correct answers. It was a good class to get work done because it was very quiet and everyone in class was working hard on trying to get some of the assignment done.

Budgeting Investments

Today we learned how to budget investments. We got an assignment book of 5 questions that we have to figure out using spreadsheets.

TODAY IS FRIDAY THE 13th !! AND IT WAS A WORK PERIOD. TIME TO GET OUT ACCELERATED MATH ON!

Today was the tast day and we had all class to work on it. we only have to do 2 of the questions

Today I learned how to do word problem on a acselerated math question using a calculator.. I also learned what buttons to use for the question.

Today in class we didn't do alot of anything, we had taken some quizzes on the internet about halloween. Some of the kids may have worked on some accelerated math or something else math related but for the most part we chilled out.

Today Mr.Max showed us how to graph 2D linear inequalities. Rest of the class we just finished working on exercise 2 and excerise 3.

Today was a catch up period because there was only seven people were here. We worked on accelerated math.

Dimensions of a PAPER cube.

We were supposed to figure out the size of the sqaure we needed to take off the cube to make the cube with the biggest volume. Most of us got the answer, but just dont know how to draw the picture. The best dimensions we 20 x 14 x 4.

Janes garden

Today we did the questions about janes garden we learned how to put it on exel and how to put it in your stat plot on your graphing calculator. the plot on exel is saved on the transfer drive for you to use.

The domain on any and all quadratic functions is always as seen above. The range however is always the same as or less than the y intercept in the vertex.
ex. Y is less than or the same as -2 if the Vertex=1,-2

this is saying you can ge the vertex you can out it into common for and then the h and k will be equal to the vertex.

this is saying that to make the parabola narrower the coeficent increases and to make it wider it must become a decimal number but to keep it in the standard form the coeficent needs to be 1

This is the common form of all quadratic functions similar to y=mx+b is to linear functions.

Non-Linear Systems

Today in class we learned that Non-Linear systems dont cross the x axis in more then one spot at one time, and we learned about the Linear function, Quadratic function, and the Other function. We learned which way each of these functions makes on the graph.

Math attendence, yo.

Today was a work period, so there is no new information to be blogged about. To prevent this from being tiny, Mr. Max suggested I write about something that is important to all of us. So I chose attendance. Learning the hard way, I found out that attendance in math is super important to get a passing grade. The math isn't the tough part, but if you aren't here to get everything done, then your mark shows it.

Today everyone was working on word problems which are due Monday, or accelerated math, I achieved two objectives today.

Today in class was early dismissile, so in class everyone worked on word problems or accelerated math. Ten objectives are due for today in accelerated math.

TODAY WAS A WORK PERIOD! IT WAS EPIC!

Today was a work period. Mr.Max gave us three problem solving questions due for tuesday.

Today we were set the homework of questions 4 and 9 to do by the next day and were given the rest of the class to do them.

september 23rd

Today we talked about how homework has to be done sometime as long as you do it then your good. After that is was just a workn class.

Sept. 21 Addition/ Subtraction Method

We also talked about the diffrent types of systems and how they work.

We also deal with substitutions where the coefficente were really nasty decimals but all we did was multiply by 100 as seen above to make the equation look nicer and be easier to use.

Today we wnet further into the substitution method.
